Pride Month 2019

For our 2019 Pride Month event, we knew that we wanted to beat the previous year’s fundraising achievement of $654 going to The LOFT: LGBT Community Center in White Plains. What followed turned out to be our biggest New York event yet, both in terms of lineup and attendees! We succeeded in raising $708 for The LOFT and were able to hand out numerous pamphlets and brochures detailing The LOFT’s incredible resources for our local LGBTQ+ community.

AFI DC 2/16/19

After months of planning, our year-long dream of holding an Artists for Impact event in Washington, DC came true! For this event, we teamed up with Dwell DC, an incredible creative space. We decided to donate proceeds to Girls Rock! DC, an organization focused on holding music camps in support of girls and non-binary and trans youth. We succeeded in raising $278 for Girls Rock! DC, as well as $101 for Dwell and $182 for Artists for Impact through our donation jars.

Artists for Impact 11/3/18

In November, we were thrilled to hold our third Artists for Impact event and to celebrate the first birthday of AFI (and a late Halloween!). With this event, we succeeded in raising $267 for Sad Girls Club, an organization focused on providing mental health support for young women. In addition, raffles held to support the AFI cause raised $111.25 — an enormous help to our journey of becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

A Backyard Fundraiser 8/30/18

In October, a dear friend of ours held a lovely backyard show to raise money for Artists for Impact and wrap up the summer. All the money raised went towards our funds for registering Artists for Impact as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By the end of the night, our talented group of musicians, artists, and friends helped us raise $210.75.

When finally setting the day of the event for May, 19th, 2018, we pondered what charity we should donate the proceeds to. With Pride Month just around the corner, we decided we would donate to The LOFT: LGBT Community Center in White Plains, NY. We wanted to make sure we would be providing a safe space to those identifying with the LGBTQ+ community within the audience and our own artists.
